The Life of a Rat Cont……

“Annabelle” and Shannon
.
Dear Lou,

Just wanted to say hi and let you know that we are thinking of you this holiday season.  Annabelle is doing very very well and has been a wonderful addition to our family.  She is truly a great dog and is my best pal.  We go out on the boat all the time and she is quite the sailor girl... she seems right at home on the water and is right in tune when a fish gets on the line.  She gets excited when you say "get the fishy".
She is wonderful with the daycare kids... everyone who comes around, she has to acknowledge and give a kiss.  She is much better with the daycare kids than Chandler.... She's such a people person.  She was also a successful graduate of puppy school and healed quickly from her spaying.
She is also quite the mommy's girl, as you can tell by the photos. There's one picture that is typical of her climbing skills and acrobatics.  That was taken a while ago while she had the real puppy look.  The ones where she is sleeping with mommy was taken yesterday... she has grown quite a bit.
I think I mentioned before and is still the case.... she is a food finding machine.  She'll eat any kind of food and can find the smallest hidden crumbs.  We call her "the food monger" and always acts like she is waiting for her last meal.  Sometimes, she stares at you so hard that her eyes start to water... it’s comical.

....................................................
Hi there Lou,

On Trigger’s second night home he jumped up onto the sofa and snuggled down
between Michael and I.  His potty training is going slowly, more miss than hit on the
paper but he's getting there.Within 2 days he had burst through his canvas crate and
made his way up the stairs and under our quilt!  He now sleeps with us.
He had his second round of shots toady and in true ratty style tore around the vets
like a Tazmanian devil and yapped like mad, growling at the staff.  Hilarious, he's got such courage.
We are enjoying him very very much as a pet and I plan to take him to obedience
classes at the end of the month.  He is very affectionate and very territorial, a real mixture
of characteristics.
I feel confident that he will become more and more of a valuable member of the
family, the baby already adores him, he lets Trigg lick his whole face and giggles like mad.
Kind regards,   Suna Lock
