RAT TERRIER COLORS

     Below is a list of colors that may be produced by crossing the known genes carried in the breed. Note: The colors Brindle or White can occur in the breed but are considered undesirable by the breed standards. All dogs that display tan markings may have a variation in appearance from almost white to dark red in color.

Please Note:Under the column Genetic Makeup when a gene series is separated by a slash (/) it means that any of these genes in that series will produce the same color.

Weimeriner Gray	AbCdEgmrSt	A silvery gray brown color that can be from light to dark in shade. No white or tan markings.
Wheaten	ayBCDegmrSt	Light buff to dark wheat color without white or tan markings.
White	ABCDEgmrSwt ayBCDegmrSt	Pure white in color void of all other colors. Formula two may show some crème down the back.
